Dubai World's Nakheel: Will the Chinese Come to Rescue?

Dubai World's Nakheel May Need Further $2 Billion.  Only a few individuals, companies, or countries have the ability to provide help.  Will the Chinese come to rescue?  They have invested in the past.

Los Angeles, California.: It is said that Dubai World's Nakheel May Need Further $2 Billion.  Only a few individuals including Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, companies include Berkshire Hathaway, and countries such as Japan and China have the capacity to provide help.  Will the Chinese come to rescue?

In the past, China has invested directly in the Middle East.  They have sometimes used Dubai as the bridge or entry point in investing in countries in the Middle East.  Recently, individuals or private companies from China have invested in the real estate market in Dubai.  In 2008, it is said that the Chinese investors have channeled over 38 million USD into Dubai.  It is also reported in Chinese media that a private investor from southern China purchased an island in Dubai as well.  How about this time?

Well, it depends on how sweet the deal is for the Chinese, as well as how connected Nakheel is to China.  China Investment Corporation invested in Blackstone Group and made a loss.  They also invested in a few other projects and made a loss.  Thus, they may have become more careful at selecting their investment candidates.

However, given the strategic position of Dubai to the Middle East, it is plausible that China might become one of the participants to come to rescue.  The Chinese have been very eager to come to Dubai to invest.  Smaller companies even provided Chinese translation services in Dubai as well. How about this time?

According to some sources, certain deals have been in talks among different parties.  The result will be seen as soon as it is disclosed.
